Thanks heaps @Oaktree
thats so kind of you 💜🙂🌺
I fall around 4-8 times a week, and unfortunately very used to it now.
Funnily enough, I have been in a wheelchair a few times now, but managed to work my way out of it time and again (usually after spinal surgery to mitigate the problem) 🙌🏻🙌🏻☺️🌺
Im really happy to hear you’re on helpful medication and feeling good - that’s wonderful 🥰🌺

Wow @Former-Member
spinal surgery- that’s intense. Glad to hear you keep getting out of that darn wheelchair. Maybe it would be safer if you sat down more so that you don’t fall down. Try not to break any bones. You are doing a great job keeping up such a positive attitude in such difficult circumstances

I hope if you do have to do dialysis you can do it at home. That’s a lot of travelling otherwise.

It’s not the best @Shaz51 , but in terms of my neuropathy, I try to see the bright side…I don’t frown when I’ve jammed my fingers in the car door, there’s no change to my smile when I catch my pinkie toe on furniture and it’s not quite where it used to be, and I don’t have to worry about the sink being full of hot water 🤭🙌🏻

Hi @Oaktree I have not been coping with the heat at all, for weeks or months in fact.
Mainly as the house does not cool down at night - still 33C or so in house in middle of night.
So I just don't sleep well, virtually any night - until the weather finally cools down.
It's still 38C or so Outside, right now.
I'm doing okay inside though, as my Aircon is finally working okay now.
Once I cleaned the Aircon Filters, the Aircon was finally Cold & actually blew air properly.
That was just a few days ago - When I was wondering if the Aircon was Broken, & why I could not cool anything down.
I hope you are well.
Adge

That’s no good @Adge
It has been so hot in WA all this month. We have had one or two cooler days but basically it has been pretty brutal. I am glad to hear that your aircon is finally blowing cold

Thank you kindly @Oaktree 😍🌺
The kindness and consideration for my wellbeing is so very sweet, and warms my heart 💜🙂🌺
I’ve had three major spinal surgeries so far, each with a re-learning to walk following, but nothing really keeps me down ..thus far, anyway ☺️
I would love to have the opportunity to sit down more, and I very much appreciate the sentiment 💜☺️
however I do live alone with no support network whatsoever (no family, friends, or support workers/community support), so I do everything from swapping out damaged roof tiles after a hailstorm (I’ve worked out how to climb the ladder with crutches) to checking the mail and everything in between (besides taking the wheelie bins down the driveway - that’s impossible on crutches unless I hold the handle in my teeth, which I am very reluctant to do 😉).
I haven’t broken a larger bone in a while, and the smaller ones heal relatively quickly 🙌🏻🙂
I have a high pain tolerance (allergic/reactive to most pain meds), so I usually don’t worry too much unless I have a displaced fracture that I can’t reposition and brace myself at home (dislocations are easy most of the time).
It’s ok - I usually find a way 🌺🙂💜
