Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Hi @Adge, stranger, sorry I've been distant, its good seeing you pop up on other threads. Are u feeling any stronger in yourself? How's that 4letter word 'work' going? Don't envy your plight there.

With these photos, i had the same problem but then i discovered 'screenshots' Do you have a screenshot app in your phone? It will copy whatever is on the screen when you use it.. There's free screenshot apps you can install online. I find the screenshot of photos I take creates a copy that is an acceptable size for the forums, and cheaper to upload. Give it a try.

Catch you later, I've had a crap day.

Hi @Former-Member
Hi @Former-Member
It's good to see or hear from you both.

Maybe I'm stronger in myself I'm not sure...

Still struggling with dissociation in afternoons & throughout every weekend.

I'm managing to write small amounts to interact on other threads.

I had to write & file an incident report last week - due to client's aggressive behavior & him hitting me.

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

hello @Adge @Former-Member @Techunique

pleased to see that you are stretching your boundaries and visiting other threads...

it helps sometimes to help others....

also distraction...

different for everyone no doubt

@Adge another incident of aggression...

does anyone follow up with you about these reported incidents?

They are supposed to within a certain time frame...

I used to work in quality assurance and these reports were a part of the whole picture...

is their anybody at work whom you can trust?

fair work ombudsman?

all takes energy I know....sometimes I think that is why these large corporations get away with so much..

main thing .....discuss it with your therapist

take care

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Thanks @Former-Member

I like to help others, I always have.

My energy just does not stretch very far these days, so I have to put limits on what I do.

Which is difficult, because I tend to push & push myself (physically & emotionally) until I virtually collapse.

I often try to write replies to people, then my mind goes blank with exhaustion (part-way through), & I just can't seem to write or finish it...

I've had all sorts of caring & volunteer roles in the past - with St Vincent de Paul society, with homeless people, as a scout leader, & as a moderator on a childhood abuse support site (I was always a member first), etc.

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

The above pictures were of: 1)Wave Rock 2)Cape Leuwin Lighthouse - where I went for my south-west Bus tour trips in September.

This one is of Albany harbour.Albany harbour

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Wow, amazing @Afge, love the wave rock !

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

hello @Adge @Former-Member

how are you both?

adge....I was referring to reporting abuse incidents formally at work...there is a formal process...an incident report form which needs to be filled in....this has to be followed up formally within a certain time frame...this is audited.

I understand that you worry about your job...

if you receive an injury and do not report it......further down the track if there are related complications it is too late...medical bills could be very high...

I do not want to upset or depress or exacerbate your feelings...this is about your rights...

at the end of the day is your decision...this I respect

lapses how is the decluttering?  I have started several times....then I just start somewhere else...it will get done...you have probably heard that before as well...

take care both of you

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Yes @Former-Member I've done several incident reports recently - always in our own time unpaid, & can take an hour or more each time.

The incident reporting procedures are more stressful than the incident itself, in my experience.

To my knowledge no reported incident has resulted in further training, or adequate support for the staff member involved.

No further action has been taken by management. It simply provides documentation for legal requirements.

Daily case notes (also done in our own time unpaid) document most occurrences.

I am meticulous with case notes & incident reports - which I am adamant should never be a required to be done on your own private computer in your own time unpaid.

Unfortunately that's what they insist upon - & everyone complies so they get away with it.

In fact any staff member who does not complete their case notes up to date in their own time - is threatened with disciplinary action by management.
