Re: not coping

@Snowie the last time i went to hospital for mental health it wasnt good for me. im almost thinking about going interstate again and seeing if the hospital i attend for medical treatment for the 2 weeks also offerrs some mental health services. i wish i had the support but i dont

Re: not coping

That might be a good idea hon @outlander

If your family think you are just going for medical treatment it might make it easier to go and get some help. Even if it is at a different place it could work. A good thing to think about.

Re: not coping

its probably the only @snowi e but every one around me at the moment is struggling esp financially so its hard.

Re: not coping

I acknowledge that it is expensive @outlander especially if you go private. I have never gone public so cannot compare the two.

Every time I have gone in it has been to the same hospital, so my knowledge on different ones is very limited.

Re: not coping

my insurance would probably cover it as a private service @Snowie

Re: not coping

I've got private health, but I've only ever gone to public, and that's because it was out of necessity, and not a planned admission. @Snowie @outlander .

It's been more helpful for me in PARCs which was also public, but planned and for longer periods of time.

Re: not coping

I'm glad your private insurance would cover it @outlander Might be something to look into.

@tyme mine have always been planned admission, normally to change meds, do ECT or because my SI was getting out of hand. Even with my SI admissions, they got me in very quickly.

Re: not coping

ive had unplanned admissions @tyme but i need to try and hide the face of why im in hospital from family. i cant having any more feuds. i just want to go and help myself without all the questions and judgements and being treated differently

Re: not coping

I was turned away from private because I was too high risk @Snowie

Re: not coping

i might be to high risk to @tyme
