Re: NDIA investigation

As if my trust issues weren't bad enough...

I rant on and on on here all too often about how we need a better mental health system that actually helps people with their actual problems. But the truth is that even if such a service was up and fully-functioning tomorrow, I would probably be immensely reluctant to go near it, because at the end of the day, your placing your trust in other humans to behave ethically and honorably. And, IME, people who are capable of conducting themselves in such fashion are in very short supply. Personally, I can't recall meeting even one in my lifetime.

Re: NDIA investigation

@chibam @StuF  it is disgusting isnt it and why arent these houses and people continually checked by the NDIA!

Re: NDIA investigation

@Bunniekins@chibam

I think I heard on the radio this morning some guy is facing eviction from his rental because the people who are supposedly looking after him had been keeping his rent money rather than paying it to the landlord/agent

(I'm very sketchy on the detail)

Re: NDIA investigation

@StuF  Omg!  my middle son is in a well managed sil and i thank god for that! it worries the hell out of me when i read this kind of thing

Re: NDIA investigation

Yeah @Bunniekins

I guess we can only expect (hope) that the majority of providers are doing the right thing

(But it seems we can never get complacent about that)

Re: NDIA investigation

@StuF  yes they must be psychopaths to do that to such vulnerable pple.

Re: NDIA investigation

Holy crap! I had to stop reading and meditate as I was getting triggered (stuff all sleep ahead for me tonight). Seeing the pictures of the living conditions gave me flashbacks of what I had been exposed to when I worked. Those poor people living in those conditions, and those poor investigators that were also exposed to such appalling things.

Re: NDIA investigation

Aww @Sparky79 it's so heavy hey. I'm sorry it was a triggering read for you, please look after yourself hun!! 💜
