Oh so beautiful @Shaz51 - I was actually thinking of adopting as opposed to buying babies. Not sure if thats wise?

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Hi @Camamile, (pretty name), I've only had these birds a few months. I like Bourke's & Finches (separated) because they are quieter but still have a soft song. @Adge is the real expert here But, I think for a first bird, a young blue male budgie is fine. Although Cockatiels are lovely too, @Bubbles3 has one. Good luck, nice to o see you here 🐦🎄🐦

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Hi @Former-Member I've been keeping birds in WA for 23 years.

It started before that, as a teenager (mid-1980's), so that's about 35 years altogether.

It depends a lot on your preferences, & what birds you're attracted to.

When a teenager, I started with Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos, Rosellas, Cockatiels, Budgies, Peachfaces, & Zebra finches.

In the last few decades I've kept most finches & Canaries.

Although I still can't resist Cockatiels, Peachfaces & Budgies. I got my first ever Bourke parrots several years ago, & they're lovely.

Hello @Bubbles3, @BambiFawn, @Adge, @Bunniekins, @utopia, @Shaz51, @Maggie, @Former-Member, @Former-Member, @Camomile, and passersby. Forgot about this thread since i had to gave away my birds last December.
Miss them, but here @my parents i feed the wild birds for mum 3pm daily. Mostly turtle doves (lovely) & a few rainbow parrots - so it all helps. Love it in mum's garden out back.

How are you all? And all your feather babies / wildbirds / birdwatching going?? Any new birds lately? I spotted a kingfisher the other day - pretty colour ❤
