Welcome and getting started

Anxiety

Anxiety

I’ve sold the house I’ve lived in for 30 years and bought a new one in a different town and lined up a new job.  This is everything I wanted to do but now it’s happening my anxiety/panic is raging.  I’m moving in a few days and I’m not sure how I’m going to do it.  The only relief I get is when I’m asleep then I wake up and it starts again.

I don’t understand why I feel like this

i know what is happening in my body but I still can’t make it stop.  I’m exercising and deep breathing and trying to meditate but my stomach will not stop churning.  It’s debilitating and I’ve got so much to do.
The  drive to the new city is 7 hours with one adult daughter and three pets.

Does anyone else suffer from this affliction and have any ideas how to ease my thoughts?

Re: Anxiety

Hey @S10, thank you for sharing your experiences with the community!

It sure sounds like a big move, and I think it's understandable that you are feeling nervous about it. I have moved several times interstate, and it can be challenging. It does sound like you have it all together, with somewhere to live and a new job.

I'm curious, have you talked about this with your daughter? I wonder if she is feeling the same way, and it might be a shared experience.

I believe the community will have some insights to share as well!

Take care

Re: Anxiety

Hi, she is actually holding it together at the moment. I’m worried she’ll end up where I am once we get there and she has to put herself out there finding a new job etc. she’s one of the main reasons we are moving so she can hopefully find a community as she doesn’t have and friends or connections here
