The Ice-Memery

Re: The Ice-Memery

@Sparky79 okay honestly... that's fair 😆 i love Melbourne but i gotta admit that there's some crusty spots... especially when i walk around at night in certain areas, i feel like i'm in a horror/thriller movie sometimes.

Re: The Ice-Memery

@rav3n If it wasn't for the cost of living here and the taxes, Victoria would rate a lot higher for me. I was in Geelong today and the fuel was over 10c a litre cheaper than my neck of the woods!, I'll stop whinging now or else I'll have to buy some shares in Kleenex!

Re: The Ice-Memery

the cost of living, especially in the last 5-10 years has been insane @Sparky79 and the fuel prices just make me wanna cry, one of the reasons i bought a hybrid car. and then Sydney's even more expensive ughhhh

Re: The Ice-Memery

@rav3n I caved in and bought a 2nd hand imported Corolla wagon hybrid a year ago!

My only issue is with ladder on the roof and tools in the back she sits too low! but for under $60 to fill and 700km range I'll take that lowered rear end!

Re: The Ice-Memery

@Sparky79 mine's corolla too! but sedan hybrid, only got it a few months ago. i'm with ya, i only have to fill up every 2-3 weeks now (opposed to weekly in my old car).

the lowered part is hard too tho, both you haven't had to deal with too many scratches n stuff!

Re: The Ice-Memery

@rav3n Mine's a 2017 model, I got it for 18k with 54k on the clock, I've done a few upgrades (roof racks, better touchscreen stereo, better LED headlights) and I replaced the rear wheel bearing and hub the other week as well, That set me back $80 in parts! Thank god for YouTube pre coaching me on how to do the replacement successfully!

Re: The Ice-Memery

@Sparky79 DAMN $18k with 54k driven is pretty great, and then $80 on some of those upgrades - SO GOOD!! i wish i had your skill and confidence to follow YouTube videos. mines a 2024 model, roughly $34k. and then spent a lot more money on car mats, seat covers, etc 😅 oh and rego is due soon too that's lovely !

i was a lil disappointed with the stereo, it's very bass heavy which is nice for when i listen to hardstyle but when in the mood for some rnb or pop... it's disappointing. do you drive a lot? like everyday?

Re: The Ice-Memery

@rav3n well I've put over 30k on the car within the last 12 months, so yeah a little bit of driving.
