Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Hey dear lovely @Former-Member, yes I really love Australian birds.  We have some of the most colourful parrots and birdies in the world.

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

@Bunniekins, @Former-Member, @Shaz51@utopia and dear @Maggie, one of my favourite Australian birds is the little Willie Wagtail.  So beautiful.

Hey @BambiFawn, yes, they are like no other! We are very lucky 🙂

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

We don't have King Parrots in the west. But I do remember them from living in NSW.

Willy Wagtails really are perky characters. When I was the Gardener on a large private Golf Course, the Willy Wagtails got so used to me.

They came & sat on my shovel while I was actually holding it, digging holes in the garden.

They were probably hoping that I would unearth some tasty worms, while I was digging...

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Welcomecto the thread @Former-Member, king parrots are beautiful. We have a pair in the area that come visiting occasionally. They have a distinct call. 15yrs ago, when we had a property in the hills, the parrots came to feed on the gravillia and seed we put out and my then 12yo son loved hand feeding them. Have a great picture somewhere. ❤

Hello @Shaz51, how ya doing? Sounds like you're in great demand. I can help my mum but she doesn't want me, ouch. I don't know what's worse. Hang in there, but maybe delegate a little, yes? ❤

@utopia, I have a neighbour with a pet cockatoos they let out to fly twice a day - early morning and sunset. He's handsome and flies really low between the trees with his large wing span. Unnerves the smaller birds but don't think he means harm, doesn't chase them or anything. I think of you often when I see him flying around, magnificent bird ❤

Hi @Maggie

@Adge, where are you? How was your Monday?

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

Thanks @Former-Member 🙂 They do, don't they? I love how vibrant and colourful their feathers are and it amazes me that males and females are so distinctively different in their colouring! That sounds like a wonderful experience for your son, I'm sure it's a great picture!

Hi @BambiFawn, good to see you ❤

Re: 🐦Bird 🐦Therapy🐦

The old Jarrah picket fence is all gone @Former-Member It's been totally removed today, without my ever seeing the tradesmen (I was at work).

Now I shall have to wait & see what the final result (new fence) looks like - & stand my ground, when it comes to payment.

My neighbour agreed (Friday) when I said that I couldn't possibly pay half of that exhorbitant amount. Plus I was never shown any contract.

I bought 2 new Goldfinches on Sunday (because they actually had them), so I now have 4 Goldfinches...

Good on you @Adge, stocking to your guns on the cost of the fence. You've done your homework. Glad you didn't have to put up with trades everywhere. Did they leave a mess? My neighbour down the back put a 4' tin fence up and didn't say a word to me. Only the fencer re my dogs. And he left it really tidy. I was lucky. Glad you got the GoldFinches on the weekend. You're doing so well with your birds this year. Stay strong forum bro 🐦🎄🐦
