A kingfisher woke the dug & I up through the light, kept crashing into the veranda wall outside my room. I caught him and he lives in my mums china cabinet with water and silk flowers. Such encounter requires further exploration of symbology, especially since I saw one deceased right beside dad’s chair last week.

It's a Kingfisher or a blue winged Kookabura (not the laughing one).

A good question where to get bugs & lizards from.

It will probably eat mealworms - you can get those from some pet supply shops. Or breed your own.
