Grief & loss - may be triggering

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Yes, snowballed is right @Former-Member

It cannot be just this let-down (promise broken) - I think it has dug up a long list of abandonment experiences & feelings.

Yes Blindsided sounds like it @Faith-and-HopeI'm sure you would not have expected such bad treatment from a friend.

I never see these things coming, even though I should know Mum's track-record of broken promises & being unreliable...

Thanks @Appleblossom I let myself be strung along (I wish I didn't).

Because I wanted to believe that people (especially) Mum would be honourable & faithful (for once).

Thanks for all your kind & thoughtful responses.

Poor Dad, Mum's behaviour is surely not what he wanted or expected (I don't know).

@Adge I am sorry you were let down so often and again in this most important way. It makes sense that you feel a whole range of emotions.  Being strung along is still wrong and taking advantage of your hope and trust.

Rainbow Peachface died last night - he was my last bird still left from when my ex was still here 7 & 1/2 years ago.
Ferral but quite a character.
He was jumping around last night and didn't even look sick.
Quite a shock & has brought a lot of grief up.

Take care of you @Adge ...... extra care in this tender time .....

Wanna talk about anything ?

Re: Grief & loss - may be triggering

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope

I just wish my birds would live much longer. They're such fragile, tiny creatures (most) of them.

Rainbow was the only survivor, from back when my ex-wife was here...

He really was rainbow-coloured (yellow, green, blue & red).

Nothing ever stays the same, even my cherished pets go...

It kind of reminds me (also) that I've not come to terms with being single for so long (7 &1/2 years)....

I always wanted to have a family (children), that is most important to me. Yet it never happened...

Further losses seem to bring up (trigger) these regrets...
